Nepal Cricket Team Schedule 2026

ICC T20 World Cup 2026

The roadmap for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier has been set now that the ten competing nations are confirmed. The tournament will take place in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9, 2023, with Nepal fighting hard to secure a coveted spot in the 2023 World Cup hosted by India.

The ten qualifying teams have been split into two groups of five. Group A features Nepal alongside Zimbabwe, the West Indies, the Netherlands, and the USA, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, and the UAE.

Within their respective groups, every team will play one match against each opponent. The top three finishers from each group will move on to the Super Six stage, where they will compete against teams they haven't yet faced. Ultimately, the two finalists will earn their tickets to the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Betting on the Team:

At its core, sports betting is the act of predicting the result of an athletic contest and risking a sum of money—or something of equivalent value—on that outcome in hopes of earning a profit or a prize.

Online betting is gaining massive traction in Nepal, with cricket standing out as the most beloved sport. From local leagues to global championships, almost every match played worldwide is available for betting.

Platforms like MCW Nepal are excellent resources, offering comprehensive coverage of every major global cricket tournament and providing a seamless way to place your bets.MCW Nepal, that cover every major cricket tournament in the world and allow you to bet on them.

To get you started, here is a guide to cricket betting in Nepal and a breakdown of the most common terminology:

1. Bet Types:

Bettors can choose from several different wagering options, including:

– Moneyline (win-loss)

– Point Spread (handicap)

– Over/Under (total points scored)

– Prop Bets: These focus on specific events or individual occurrences within a game.

– Futures: These are long-term wagers on overall outcomes, such as predicting the tournament champion. These are also referred to as 'outrights'.

2. Odds:

Bookmakers, or sportsbooks, set the odds, which represent the probability of a result and determine the potential payout. You'll typically see these expressed as decimals, fractions, or in the American format.

3. Bookmakers/Sportsbooks:

These are the entities that manage the bets and set the prices. They operate either through physical storefronts or digital platforms.

4. Betting platforms:

These are the digital interfaces—such as specialized websites or mobile apps—that allow users to place their wagers remotely.

5. Responsible betting:

Always gamble responsibly; only bet what you can afford to lose and never try to 'win back' losses by betting more.

Odds and how they work:

If you're new to the scene, understanding how cricket odds work is essential. When browsing betting sites, you'll notice these odds are usually shown as decimal numbers or ratios.

You might be wondering: what do these numbers actually mean? How do they work in the context of cricket? This guide will clear up those questions and provide expert advice for your online betting journey.

Most betting sites offer a massive variety of options—often 60 to 70 different markets—for a single match. You can place your bets before the game starts or use 'live betting' to wager as the action unfolds. Simply pick the odds that appeal to you and confirm your bet.

In cricket betting, odds are a reflection of how likely a certain outcome is to happen. They also serve as the multiplier that determines how much a bettor wins if their prediction is correct.

For example, imagine a One Day International between India and Nepal. If the bookmaker sets the odds for a Nepal victory at 1.90, the probability of them winning can be calculated using a simple formula:

Winning Probability = 1 / Decimal Odds.

Based on this, Nepal's estimated chance of victory would be:

1 / 1.90 = 0.5263 = 52.63%

If you were to stake 1336.99 NPR on Nepal to win at odds of 1.90, you can easily figure out your potential return.

Winning Probability = 1 / Decimal Odds.

Based on this, Nepal's estimated chance of victory would be:

1 / 1.90 = 0.5263 = 52.63%

To calculate the total payout for a 1336.99 NPR bet at 1.90 odds, use this straightforward equation:

Winnings equal (Stake * Odds) – Stake

Your total return would be (1336.99 * 1.90)—10 = 2530.281 NPR. This means you'd walk away with a total of 2530.281 NPR from your original stake.
